Giving Georgia's Children 1,000,000 Minutes and Countless Opportunities What is one thing that you can do this year to give children a greater chance to succeed in school? Join in The Junior Leagues of Georgia: Million Minute Read! Through our shared commitment to children and their success in school, the Junior League of Atlanta and 11 other Junior Leagues from across the state have partnered to read 1,000,000 minutes to Georgia's children this year. Any Junior League volunteer (profisionals, transfers, actives & sustainers) can participate by reading to children age 0 thru elementary school from now through April 2010. To track your time go to www.jlatlanta.org, click on Million Minute Read under Community. The password is "reading". Be sure to use the drop down menu to select our League (Douglasville) and input the information requested, including how long you read, where you were and howmany children were present.
